It"s all about the Benjamins baby!
Are you ready to take the plunge and hire a professional organizer to get your home in order, but feel hesitant about the costs? You might even be afraid it would cost a fortune especially if the clutter is substantial.
If this resonates with you please continue to thoroughly read this section as I will answer all questions regarding fees, pricing and how we’d begin the process of organizing and decluttering your home.
Now, without further ado, it’s time to dive into the most frequently asked questions surrounding money and more…
What is your hourly rate?
My rate is set at $100 per hour and will not increase. I have found this price range to be a sustainable rate for the average homeowner to afford and aligns with what most professional organizers, with my level of experience in the industry, would charge.
How many hours do we work in a day?
We will work for a maximum of five hours a day. In rare cases, we may work longer if it is necessary to complete a specific area for that day.
Can we work less than 5 hours?
There is an option to work for four hours. This is typically for clients who become extremely overwhelmed or have physical limitations. Please inform me of your circumstances, and I will do my best to accommodate a shorter session.
Will I need to pay for the entire home organizing project upfront?
Absolutely not. With me, you will only book one day at a time! For each day booked, you will pay $250 to hold the date in advance. At the end of the working day, you will pay the remaining $250. If you decide to book a second date at the end of the first day, you would pay $250 to reserve the next session.
If you choose not to move forward and book another session, you are not obligated to. However, I can assure you that you will be highly motivated to continue after seeing the progress we make in just one day!
Do you charge for your consultations?
Consultations over the phone are free. However, due to the comprehensive nature of needing to see the entire home inside and out, pictures are not effective for me to provide a proper estimate. There is a $75 fee for the consultation that must be paid in advance. Consultations typically take about an hour to tour the home and go over the contract. If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to schedule a phone call.
Can we focus on organizing just one area instead of the entire home?
In some homes and certain situations, it is perfectly fine to tackle one area at a time. However, if the entire home is in complete disarray, it is recommended to address the whole home because clutter can spread from room to room.
During the consultation, I will thoroughly assess how clutter is distributed in your home and consider your family dynamics to determine the best approach for the project.
What other costs are associated with having my home professionally organized?
Materials play a crucial role in home organization and you can’t have one without the other! Therefore, it is essential to set aside a few hundred dollars or more for supplies needed to organize the home. The cost of materials can vary depending on the unique needs and challenges of each environment.
How much does the average homeowner spend to have their home organized?
On average, my clients spend anywhere from $2000 to $5000, including materials, to get most, if not all, of their environment completely in order. In rare cases, the cost could range from $5000 to $10,000. This would be the price range if the decluttering and organizing were quite substantial. For example, a hoarding-type environment would require an extensive amount of labor to make a home habitable. But a home with less clutter might take less labor and supplies.
Don't let these prices scare you!
There are actually ways for you to SAVE money as we declutter and organize your home! Not only will you see me working fast and efficiently, but I will be very budget conscious during the entire duration of your home organizing project.
Believe it or not, one of the most effective ways for your project to be successful long-term is for you to do some of the work yourself!
You read that right! You will be in charge of some areas to stay active in the process of doing what I like to call “homework”. Homework involves us working as a team, but you will have tasks after each session. I will identify time-consuming areas and delegate those jobs to you to complete.
By decluttering those spaces on your own between our sessions, you’ll spend less on my services!
For me, it’s all about the money, but not in the way you might expect!
